From September 8 to 11, 2026, the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC 2026) was held in Salt Lake City, USA. As an influential international conference in the field of molecular imaging, WMIC brought together researchers, clinical experts, and industry representatives from around the world to exchange insights on cutting-edge technologies and innovative applications in molecular imaging.
Full-Spectrum Imaging: From Visible Light to NIR-II, Unlocking New Possibilities for Deep-Tissue Visualization in Vivo
Building on our previous collaboration with the Crump Institute for Molecular Imaging at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to establish an in vivo imaging center, BLT focused on full-spectrum animal in vivo imaging technology at this year's WMIC, presenting a comprehensive imaging solution spanning the visible to near-infrared II (NIR-II) spectral range. Full-spectrum imaging integrates conventional visible-light and near-infrared I imaging capabilities while extending the detection window into the NIR-II range, providing a broader technical approach to high-resolution visualization of deep tissues in vivo.
At the exhibition, BLT engaged with researchers and industry partners from around the world on emerging applications of full-spectrum imaging, including microvascular visualization, precise tumor localization, real-time surgical navigation, and multimodal tracing. With broad spectral coverage, full-spectrum imaging can accommodate imaging needs at different depths and resolutions. In particular, the NIR-II window offers reduced scattering and lower background, which can significantly improve deep-tissue imaging quality and provide researchers with more flexible and powerful tools for in vivo studies.



BLT's independently developed AniView Phoenix Full-Spectrum Animal In Vivo Imaging System integrates broad-spectrum detection modules covering the visible to NIR-II range and supports multiple imaging modes, including fluorescence imaging, bioluminescence imaging, and multispectral fusion analysis. The system provides researchers with an integrated solution for multidimensional imaging applications.
Advancing In Vivo Imaging and Expanding Global Research Collaboration
During the exhibition, the BLT booth attracted researchers and industry partners from around the world, who stopped by to learn more about BLT's animal in vivo imaging solutions and full-spectrum imaging applications. Visitors engaged in in-depth discussions on in vivo imaging, fluorescence imaging, and related research applications, showing strong interest in BLT's continued exploration of advanced imaging technologies.
From establishing collaborative imaging platforms with international research institutions to actively participating in global academic exchanges in molecular imaging, BLT continues to strengthen its connections with the global research community. Moving forward, BLT will remain committed to independent R&D and technological innovation, exploring new possibilities in in vivo imaging and providing advanced imaging solutions for life science research worldwide, while bringing Chinese-developed life science instruments to an increasingly broader international stage.
